Jane Mackie
Jane B. Mackie is a senior associate attorney at Winer, Burritt, Scott, & Jacobs, LLP in their Oakland office. Her practice focuses on employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, psychotherapist abuse, and sexual abuse of minors.
Jane is proud to represent individuals who are fighting for accountability, whether from organizations that failed them or the people who abused their trust. Prior to joining Winer, Burritt, Scott & Jacobs, Jane represented individuals who had experienced discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at work, including representing thousands of workers in a class action for race harassment at a California factory. Before that, Jane worked in the public sector for nearly ten years, including as a deputy district attorney. As a deputy district attorney, Jane successfully prosecuted numerous cases through jury trial. Jane began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Carlos T. Bea of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jane received her B.A. from Northwestern University and her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar each year.
