Confidential Settlement – 30-Year-Old Laborer Injured at Delivery to Construction Site

Plaintiff was a 30-year-old laborer who was injured at a construction site while making a delivery. Plaintiff alleged that the general contractor kept the site in an unsafe condition, thus creating a tripping hazard for the plaintiff when he attempted to deliver paper being used at the construction site.

The general contractor denied liability although it conceded that plaintiff did suffer severe fractures as a result of the accident.

The law offices of Winer, Burritt & Scott, LLP, was able to establish facts to indicate that the site was kept in an unsafe condition and a safety expert testified that reasonable care would have required the removal of the tripping hazard.

RESULT: Confidential settlement on behalf of plaintiff
